Yes. The rotation stored by phone cameras is respected, so portrait photos don't end up sideways.
JPG and PNG files are placed in the PDF as they are, with no extra compression. Other formats are converted at high quality.
Each file can be up to 100 MB, and up to 300 MB in total. Because the work happens on your device, very large files depend on your available memory. A desktop browser handles them best.
