How it works
- Add the PDF you need to sign.
- Press Signature and draw, type or upload yours. Add text, a date or a tick with the other buttons, then drag each one into place.
- Press Sign PDF and download the signed copy.
Fill in a form and sign it without printing and scanning. Add your signature, your name, the date and ticks to the page, drag them where they belong, and save the signed PDF. It all happens in your browser, so the document is never uploaded.
Files stay on your device. Free, with no sign-up.
Sign inside the box with your finger or the mouse.
Sign on white paper, take a photo in good light, and add it here.
Opening the PDF…
This adds the picture of your signature to the page. It is not a digital certificate signature, so for documents that need one, ask the other side what they accept.
Nothing left your device.
For most forms the steps are the same: type your name and the date in the boxes, tick the choices that apply, and put your signature on the line. Zoom in on the page if you need to place something precisely: use the arrow keys to nudge a selected mark by one point, or hold Shift to move it ten.
Keep a copy of the PDF you signed, and check the signed file once before you send it.
No. Everything happens inside your browser, on your own device. Your files are never sent to a server, and you can confirm that in your browser's network tab. Close the tab and they're gone.
It puts a picture of your signature on the page, like signing a printout and scanning it. Many forms, applications and agreements accept that, but some need a certificate-based digital signature or an Aadhaar eSign, and this is not that. If you are unsure, ask whoever asked for the signature what they accept.
Yes. Sign on white paper, take a photo in good light and use Upload: the paper is removed and only the ink is kept. Or draw it with your finger on a phone, which often looks natural. Typing your name in a handwriting style also works.
Only if you tick "Remember it on this device". Then it is kept in this browser on your own device, so you do not have to make it again, and the "Forget it" button deletes it. It is never sent to a server, and clearing your browser data also removes it.
Yes. Select the signature, then press "Add to every page" or "Add to the last page". Each copy can be moved on its own.
Yes. Plain English text is added as real PDF text. Text with ₹ or Hindi letters is added as a sharp picture of the text instead, because a PDF cannot hold those letters in its standard fonts. It looks the same, but the words cannot be selected.
Yes. The signature and text are written into the page itself, so it looks the same in Chrome, Adobe Reader, Preview and on phones. Nothing else in the file is changed.
No. This adds things on top of the page: a signature, text, a date, ticks. To change the original text, convert the PDF to Word with PDF to Word, edit it, and save it again.
Not directly. Use Unlock PDF on this site to remove the password (you need to know it), then add the unlocked copy here.
Each file can be up to 100 MB, and up to 300 MB in total. Because the work happens on your device, very large files depend on your available memory. A desktop browser handles them best.
