How it works
- Add your images.
- Enter the size limit, for example 50 KB. The preview shows the real result and its size.
- Press Compress image and download the result.
Type the size limit your form or website asks for, and get an image that fits under it with the best quality possible. Your pictures stay on your device.

Online forms, job portals and content systems often reject files above a limit such as 20 KB, 50 KB, 100 KB or 200 KB. Instead of guessing a quality setting again and again, enter the number here and the tool finds the highest quality that fits.
If the form also demands exact pixel dimensions, set those first with Resize Image, then compress the result to the size limit.
Make sure "Allow resizing" is ticked so the picture may be scaled down. Very detailed photos need a lot of compression to reach a tiny size, so a slightly higher limit often gives a much better-looking result.
No. Everything happens inside your browser, on your own device. Your files are never sent to a server, and you can confirm that in your browser's network tab. Close the tab and they're gone.
It tries different quality levels and keeps the best-looking one that fits under your limit. If quality alone is not enough and "Allow resizing" is on, it also shrinks the picture in small steps until it fits.
We aim just below your limit on purpose. We also count 1 KB as 1,000 bytes, so the file passes upload forms that count either 1,000 or 1,024 bytes per KB.
JPG (works everywhere) or WebP (smaller at the same quality, but a few older apps cannot open it). PNG is lossless, so it cannot be squeezed to a size by lowering quality. Pick JPG or WebP for size limits.
A very small target forces heavy compression, so photos may look softer. Simple images such as signatures compress well. If the result is too rough, raise the limit a little or use Resize Image first.
Yes. Add as many as you like (up to 50). Each one is processed on its own, and you download them together as a ZIP.
Each file can be up to 100 MB, and up to 300 MB in total. Because the work happens on your device, very large files depend on your available memory. A desktop browser handles them best.
