Why convert PNG to JPG
JPG files are much smaller than PNG for photos and screenshots with lots of colour, which makes them faster to send and easier to fit under upload limits.
JPG cannot store transparency, so any transparent area is filled with white. Sharp text and thin lines can show slight fuzziness at low quality, so keep the quality high for graphics.

What happens to transparent areas?
JPG has no transparency, so transparent pixels are filled with white. If you need to keep transparency, save as PNG or WebP instead.
What quality should I choose?
The default of 92% looks almost identical to the original for photos. Lower it to make the file smaller; go higher for graphics with text or sharp edges.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything happens inside your browser, on your own device. Your files are never sent to a server, and you can confirm that in your browser's network tab. Close the tab and they're gone.
Can I process several images at once?
Yes. Add as many as you like (up to 50). Each one is processed on its own, and you download them together as a ZIP.
Is there a file size limit?
Each file can be up to 100 MB, and up to 300 MB in total. Because the work happens on your device, very large files depend on your available memory. A desktop browser handles them best.
